Box Office

Graphic Design

Work Schedule: Weekday afternoons/some weekends
Hours per Week: 6-12
Wage/Salary: Eligible for free classes & shows at ImprovBoston
Supervisor: Managing Director, Associate Managing Director & Art Director

ImprovBoston is currently seeking talented and enthusiastic Graphic Design interns to assist with our marketing materials. Focus for the Graphic Design interns will be mainly on print materials: Posters, 4 up cards, Brochures, etc. Interns will use the ImprovBoston brand book as their guide, with instructions from the management team to create these materials. There will also be opportunities to create logos for new shows, and images for our new website.
Qualifications: Successful candidates should be current Graphic Design students or be proficient in Quark, Illustrator, PhotoShop and InDesign. Access to your own software and ability to bring your own laptop is preferred.

 

Marketing & Sales

Supervisor: Managing Director, Associate Managing Director & Marketing Director
ImprovBoston is currently seeking talented and enthusiastic Marketing interns to assist with our marketing materials. There are two positions available, one focusing on the general ImprovBoston brand and our shows at the theater, another focusing on our Corporate Training Program, and the other on ImprovBoston's Touring Company
ImprovBoston is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Marketing & Sales interns. Responsibilities include assistance in helping to identify potential clients and developing relationships with them for our touring company shows, corporate training program, and educational outreach; assisting in collateral development and distribution; working with the press and media as it applies to these departments; and assisting with other small marketing related projects.

Qualifications: Candidates should be proficient in word and excel. Basic database knowledge is helpful. A background in theater or comedy is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will be able to indentify necessary projects and propose them to management. Self-starters are essential. Ability to bring your own laptop is preferred.

 

Podcast Production Assistant

Work Schedule: Weekday afternoons/some weekends
Hours per Week: 6-12
Wage/Salary: Eligible for free classes & shows at ImprovBoston
Supervisor: Managing Director, Associate Managing Director & Marketing Director
ImprovBoston is currently seeking a talented Podcast Production Assistant to assist with our growing efforts in this exciting space. The position primarily concerns the actual editing and mixing of the podcast in addition to making it available to the public. ImprovBoston is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic intern to execute these and related tasks on a weekly basis. Responsibilities include working with our current podcast producer to coordinate the editing of the show, proposing new audio projects, collecting the recorded files from our current podcast producer, treating each individual track with various software instruments, editing the tracks together to create the show, adding intro and outro music, mixing the show down, and uploading the final product to our hosting service with a description included.
 
Qualifications: A background in theater or comedy is preferred, but not required. A background in podcast, radio, and/or general audio production is preferred, but not required. Ability to provide your own audio editing software is preferred. Ability to bring your own laptop is required (One that runs Mac OSX is preferred). Further requirements differ based on the operating system on your computer. For Windows: Vista or later is required. Proficiency in Audacity, Levelator, and iTunes is required. For Mac: OSX version 1.0 or later is required. Proficiency in Garageband, Levelator, and iTunes is preferred but not required (training can be provided for Mac users).
