Perform at ImprovBoston

There are many ways to start performing at ImprovBoston. We recommend taking a class and seeing a show to discover what you are interested in. You can find information on classes in the training section of our website.

ImprovBoston accepts show submissions on an ongoing basis -- you can submit a show at any time. Winter show proposals (Comedy Lab, SketchHaus and House Party shows through November 2011, and Showcase Shows and Special Events through February, 2012) are due by October 15, 2011.

To submit a proposal, complete the online proposal: If you have any questions, please email Director of Programming Don Scheurman at or Artistic Director Will Luera We look forward to your submissions!!

ImprovBoston is home to many comedians around the Boston area. Some perform at our theater on a weekly basis and others are part of our extended family of performers that can be seen doing special shows throughout the year. Our extended family of performers are part of our network of ImprovBoston House Teams. House Teams are improv or sketch groups that function and exist independently from ImprovBoston but work with ImprovBoston to put on shows throughout the year.

Some House Teams include:
  • Don't tell Mimi (long-form)
  • Flaming Awesome (short-form)
  • Unexpected Turbulence (long-form)
  • and more local improv and sketch teams

If you are part of a comedy group and are interested in becoming a House Team, please contact our Artistic Director, Will Luera, at
