Improv Training

Students' Circle Game

Our instructors are experienced performers, sought-out directors, and published writers who are members of the ImprovBoston community.

Unless specified otherwise, improv classes run for eight-week sessions, starting at the beginning of each quarter: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Each weekly class is two hours.

Please make sure you have fulfilled the prerequisites for the class you wish to take.

Improv training is offered in the following programs:

Improv Levels 101-601

Our 6-Level Improv Program covers everything from the basics of improvisation to creating your own improv structure for your final level's show. Each session ends with a Student Showcase!

Musical Improv Classes

Musical Improv builds on solid scenework by teaching how to add improvised singing to a scene or game.

Prerequisite: at least Levels 1-3 of our 5-Level Improv Program.

 

 
YAP Improv Workshops

 

YAP ("Yes And Practice") improv workshops are great for beginners as well as experienced students looking to brush up on skills. Open to the public.
